In many ways it is like Super M Bal-listite, though you get better, more uniform ignition with AL-101 powder and 241 primers.

WEBDec 10, 2016 · In my experience you can tell when a powder has deteriorated by smell. You can try a load or two and see if it works. If it is deteriorated, then your load will be weaker than normal and you will need to check the barrel for stuck bullets.

WEBAug 14, 2010 · AL-8 is a very slow very heavy load powder with most use in 1-3/8 oz and heavier in 12 ga and 12 ga 3" mag and Buckshot loads. It has limited use in 28 ga loads as well. If you are an adventuresome lad, you can interpret some data and have at it.
