A Jackson County Circuit Court judge blocked enforcement last week of nearly all Missouri laws that restrict abortion, ruling the 2024 passage of Amendment 3 enshrined the right to an abortion in the state constitution.

Circuit Judge Jerri Zhang, for the third time, issued an order to enforce the abortion rights amendment approved by voters in November.

Abortions can resume again in Missouri. On Thursday, Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Jerri Zhang issued a temporary injunction against several of the state’s abortion regulations, ruling that they likely violate the voter-passed constitutional amendment that restored many abortions in Missouri.
