Last season, Alabama ushered in a new regime under head coach Kalen DeBoer, formerly of the Washington Huskies. DeBoer led Washington to the national championship in 2023 before becoming the successor to six-time national title-winning head coach Nick Saban.

That led coach Mike Norvell back into the transfer portal to find a new QB this offseason, turning to former Boston College (and UCF) quarterback Thomas Castellanos to bring some juice back to the Seminoles offense.
