American Airlines suffered a computer system outage which affected flights and airports nationwide on Friday, June 27, CNN and 'The New York Times' reported.

Multiple people were taken to the hospital after experiencing turbulence on an American Airlines flight heading to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Three flight attendants and two customers were aboard American Airlines Flight 1286, which departed from Miami International Airport on Sunday, June 22.

American Airlines Flight 1286 hit “unexpected” turbulence on its way to North Carolina from Miami International Airport on Sunday. The seatbelt sign was on, the airline said, yet passengers and flight attendants were injured during the turbulence.
