The Chicago Cubs will promote right-hander Cade Horton to the majors this weekend ahead of his big-league debut against the New York Mets, according to The Des Moines Register. Horton seems likely to start on Saturday in place of left-hander Shota Imanaga,

Cade Horton knew pretty quickly something was up. Triple-A Iowa pitching coach Tony Cougoule summoned Horton from his Toledo, Ohio, hotel room to head up to manager Marty Pevey’s room because he had been named the league’s pitcher of the month.
