Wyatt Langford hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning for Texas to end a no-hit bid by the Colorado Rockies in their first game after manager Bud Black was fired, and the Rangers went on to a 2-1 win Monday night.

The Rockies have reduced their chase rate and strikeouts in recent games, but they whiffed 14 times on Wednesday night. Goodman, who’s been Colorado’s best hitter, struck out three times. Ryan McMahon, Colorado’s best hitter in May, also fanned three times.

On Monday, a series opener is on the schedule, with the Colorado Rockies (7-33) visiting the Texas Rangers (20-21) at 8:05 p.m. ET. The Rangers are heavily favored at home (-281) against the Rockies (+228). The starting pitchers are Tyler Mahle (3-1) for the Texas Rangers, and Chase Dollander (2-3) for the Colorado Rockies.
