Authorities in Arizona say a death investigation is underway after crews located the body of a woman who vanished after going hiking.

On Thursday, May 24, the Scottsdale Police Department confirmed in a press release that Hannah Moody’s body had been discovered at “around 12:05 p.m. on May 22 near the Gateway Trailhead of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale.”

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that she has started the process to request a warrant of execution against Richard Djerf, who killed four people in Phoenix three decades ago, including a 5-year-old boy.
