Bengals, Joe Flacco
Digest more
What’s interesting here for the Bengals is the disparity between the final injury report and comments from players and head coach Zac Taylor on Friday. Both Flacco himself and Taylor essentially made it sound like the starting quarterback would be out there against the Bears despite the AC joint sprain in his throwing arm.
The Bengals acquired Flacco from the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 7 because Jake Browning was struggling to replace injured starter Joe Burrow. Flacco was an immediate upgrade over Browning and has already thrown for 784 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. He helped the Bengals beat the Steelers on "Thursday Night Football" on Oct. 16.
Joe Flacco has been with the Bengals just three weeks and already is encroaching on one of Joe Burrow's more impressive franchise records.
