McLaren’s dominant start to the new F1 campaign has made Piastri and Norris the main protagonists for the drivers’ title, with reigning four-time champion Max Verstappen reduced to an outside contender in an unpredictable Red Bull RB21.

Oscar Piastri has won the Spanish Grand Prix ahead of McLaren teammate Lando Norris as McLaren continued its early dominance of the Formula 1 championship.

They resumed battle on the final run, with a superb second sector from Piastri key to his pole winning run of 1m11.546s. Norris only marginally improved his lap time to settle for second as Piastri took the fourth pole of the 2025 season as well as F1 career.
