The New York Mets have been on fire to begin the 2025 MLB season. Despite a recent series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, New York has still managed to earn a 21-11 record. Additionally, they have gained a 3.5 game lead in the National League East over second-place Philadelphia Phillies.

For example, converted starting pitcher Clay Holmes led baseball with 13 blown saves as a closer for the New York Yankees last season, and ace Kodai Senga pitched just one regular-season game in 2024 due to a shoulder injury.

The St. Louis Cardinals are bringing in a new pitcher. St. Louis is recalling hurler Michael McGreevy from Triple-A Memphis, per The Athletic. The right-hander hasn’t appeared in a Major League Baseball game this season.
