Bangladesh's ICC Champions Trophy squad shocks fans by excluding veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and experienced batter Litton Das. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto now leads a mix of seasoned players and rising stars for the high-stakes tournament.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selection committee decided to leave Shakib Al Hasan out of the Champions Trophy squad after the star all-rounder had failed a bowling reassessment test in Chennai and remained suspended from bowling as a result.

Bangladesh cricket team has left Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das out of the upcoming Champions Trophy squad. Shakib remains suspended from bowling, while Litton is struggling with poor form. The team aims to field in-form players for the tournament hosted in Pakistan and Dubai.

Shakib Al Hasan has been banned from bowling in domestic and international cricket after failing a second test of his bowling action. Despite this setback, he remains eligible to play as a batsman. Shakib is still in the running for a spot in Bangladesh's Champions Trophy team set to compete against India on February 20.

The umpires reported his action and as a result, he was banned from bowling by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). During the assessment at Loughborough University, it was found that the elbow extension in his action was more than the permissible 15 degrees.

Shakib Al Hasan was omitted from the Bangladesh squad as they announced their 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy starting next month.
