We were lucky to not have many issues on the roads due to winter precipitation from our arctic front. But the big talker was the lake effect snow – take a look at some of the snowfall totals provided by the National Weather Service out of Fort Worth.

Lake-effect snow develops from narrow bands of clouds that form when cold, dry arctic air passes over a large, relatively mild lake.

COLD WEATHER ADVISORY: For Northwestern Pocahontas County through 10AM, Tuesday, February 18th. Winds and cold air will result in wind chill values below zero much of the morning.
