Three firefighters and 12 passengers were injured when a train collided with a fire truck on an emergency call Saturday morning in Delray Beach, Florida, authorities said.

Rescue workers were in stable condition at a local hospital and 12 people from the train were treated for minor injuries. It wasn't clear why the ladder truck crossed the tracks in front of an oncoming train.
