Brian Kelly was hired to answer a question college football has stopped asking, and one LSU never needed to consider.

LSU fired football coach Brian Kelly earlier this week, and four days later, the man who did it, athletic director Scott Woodward, was gone, too.

Verge Ausberry was appointed as the interim Athletics Director at LSU, in an abrupt announcement Thursday night. Scott Woodward and LSU parted ways Thursday, after a week of controversy surrounding Brian Kelly's firing.

Days after LSU fired football coach Brian Kelly, athletic director Scott Woodward is reportedly also soon to be on his way out of the university after disparaging comments from the Louisiana governor.

"The Louisiana governor and the LSU board has damaged the reputation of our university," Carville said.
