Four astronauts have safely returned to Earth after NASA made the rare decision to end their space station mission early because of a medical concern involving one of the crew members. The SpaceX capsule carrying the international team splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the Southern California coast early Thursday,
Crew-11 disembarked the Dragon Endeavour at about 01:30 local time (09:30 GMT) after a nearly 11 hour journey back to Earth.
A SpaceX ship recovered the spacecraft from the ocean and at around 1:30 a.m. and welcomed aboard NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, plus Kimiya Yui of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Oleg Platonov of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency.
