SAN LEANDRO, Calif. — The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company announced on Monday that it voluntarily recalling several powdered beverage products after a supplier recalled milk powder used as an ingredient because of concerns over possible salmonella contamination.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has issued a recall for several powdered cocoa and frappé mixes due to potential Salmonella contamination.

The affected products were mainly large-format items for food service, though some may have reached consumers online; no illnesses have been reported so far.
