According to the FAA, total flight delays rose sharply as a result of the outage from roughly 1,256 minutes earlier in the morning to more than 4,500 minutes, with the maximum individual delay reaching 129 minutes. The agency rated the probability of extending the ground stop as “medium.”
The FAA said Thursday’s ground delay snarled departures to DFW by an average of 21 minutes. The delay is currently in effect until 9:59 p.m., the FAA said.
