The Green Bay Packers are hiring long-time New England Patriots assistant coach DeMarcus Covington as the team’s new defensive line coach, per ESPN.

Covington spent last season as the defensive coordinator for the Patriots under Jerod Mayo. It was his first season at the position, and the defense struggled on the field, giving up an average of 342.9 yards per game and 5,829 yards on the season overall.
