Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco sounds like he'll be ready to play on Sunday against the Bears. Although Flacco was limited in practice on Wednesday because of an injured throwing shoulder, he practiced in full on Thursday and said on Friday that the shoulder is in good shape.
I do feel a sense of obligation being out there for the guys you play with,” Flacco said. “I’m not changing it now.”
The Browns did what seemed to be the right thing. They benched Flacco in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel, and traded Flacco and a 2026 sixth-round pick in-state for a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Bengals on October 7. Flacco was quickly named the Bengals’ starter, because what other choice did the Bengals have?
The Bengals acquired Flacco from the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 7 because Jake Browning was struggling to replace injured starter Joe Burrow. Flacco was an immediate upgrade over Browning and has already thrown for 784 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. He helped the Bengals beat the Steelers on "Thursday Night Football" on Oct. 16.

Hendrickson (hip) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bears, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Hendrickson aggravated his hip injury in last Sunday's loss to the Jets and hasn't practiced this week.
Rome Odunze (heel) and Olamide Zaccheaus (knee) returned to practice in limited fashion. Rookie Luther Burden III remains in concussion protocol. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder) and tight end Cole Kmet (back) were once again limited participants in practice.
