Former Knick Steve Novak will join MSG Networks as a fill-in for lead Knicks analyst Walt Frazier this season, the network announced on Thursday. Novak is expected to work about a dozen games, starting Friday night against the Bulls in Chicago.
Novak will serve as current analyst Clyde Frazier’s backup for MSG broadcasts of Knicks games. At 80 years old, Frazier has already slowed down his rate of broadcasting the team’s road games, though he has no plans to retire or stop doing the team’s home games at Madison Square Garden.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 37 points, eight rebounds and seven assists as the Milwaukee Bucks erased a 12-point halftime deficit and beat the New York Knicks 121-111 on Tuesday.
This can be a beautiful story in a great basketball town, and the New York Knicks have the pen in their hands.
