CLEVELAND, Ohio - With the threat of a referendum to completely abolish property taxes in Ohio, Gov. Mike DeWine asked a task force to recommend ways to assuage homeowners’ increasing tax burden.
A panel assembled by Gov. Mike DeWine issued 20 recommendations to address Ohio's property tax issues. The group suggested allowing seniors and people with disabilities to defer property tax payments.
