The Switch 2 Pro Controller adds some very welcome features. There’s a dedicated GameChat button like we see on the Joy-Con 2 for accessing the console’s bespoke voice chat system.

The Switch 2 Pro controller is clearly the most refined gamepad Nintendo has ever made. It’s just a shame that it’s so expensive and doesn’t have Hall effect sticks.

The Switch 2 Pro Controller will launch on June 5 for $79.99. The controller includes a 3.5mm audio jack and GL and GR buttons that can be mapped. The Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced at $449.99.

The good news is that, if you want to save some money, the Switch 1 Pro Controllers do work on the Switch 2. Since it's detached, it's really more useful when playing docked, connected to a TV.
