Randallstown native Angel Reese graced the cover of Vogue’s winter issue in a story about the fashion industry’s recent love affair with the sports world.

Angel Reese proudly took a Vogue victory lap in front of her critics Wednesday. On the same morning Vogue revealed the Chicago Sky forward as one of its cover stars for the Winter 2025 issue, Reese celebrated the news on her social media pages with a jab at trolls.

Angel Reese celebrated her role as Vogue magazine’s latest cover model by shutting down trolls who recently criticized her outfit choices. On Wednesday (January 6) the Chicago Sky player promoted the cover on X, writing: “COVERGIRL.” In a follow-up tweet, the WNBA star added: “I ‘covered up’ and gave y’all COVERGIRL [kiss emoji].”

Angel Reese clapped back at critics with the reveal of her Vogue cover. On Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Chicago Sky forward posted to X, writing, “I ‘covered up’ and gave y’all COVERGIRL.” Reese’s cover marks the first time a professional basketball player had a solo cover with the publication.

In the new edition, Reese addresses the chatter surrounding her love of basketball and fashion, explaining why it will always be both for her. After the cover reveal, she also dropped a seven-word tweet with a clever play on words that trolled her haters or anyone with something to say about what she wears.
