Multiple people were taken to the hospital after experiencing turbulence on an American Airlines flight heading to Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Three flight attendants and two customers were aboard American Airlines Flight 1286, which departed from Miami International Airport on Sunday, June 22.

American Airlines suffered a computer system outage which affected flights and airports nationwide on Friday, June 27, CNN and 'The New York Times' reported.

An American Airlines flight returned to Las Vegas after an engine issue was reported shortly after takeoff Wednesday. Flight 1665, operating on an Airbus A321, was heading to Charlotte, North Carolina, when the crew reported an engine issue at around 8:20 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
