If the Diamondbacks do end up a seller in front of the trade deadline, they'd turn some heads. Pitchers Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly along with corner infielders Eugenio Suárez and Josh Naylor are all free agents at the end of the season and could net a decent return.

The Diamondbacks made a move to shore up their organizational pitching depth, signing right-hander Anthony DeSclafani to a major league contract and fitting him on the roster by optioning right-hander Bryce Jarvis to Triple-A Reno.

Jim Bowden of The Athletic wrote six trade proposals for the MLB and one of them included a big name on Arizona's roster. If the Diamondbacks chose to move on from Naylor, it could set them up for the future.

The Chicago Cubs will be aggressive on the trade market, and Zac Gallen's availability could have them talk to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
