CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Guardians were staring at a 3-game sweep by the world champion Dodgers. One inning turned that around. Angel Martinez ripped a 3-run homer in the 8th, capping a 5-run rally, as the Guardians nipped LA 7-4 Wednesday afternoon at Progressive Field.
The Guardians made it all the way to the ALCS last year while dominating an AL Central division that sent three teams to the playoffs, and over the offseason they augmented their lineup with players like Carlos Santana, Nolan Jones, and Luis Ortiz.

The Guardians recalled right-hander Andrew Walters from Columbus before Wednesday’s game to replace right-hander Nic Enright.
