Authorities in Arizona say a death investigation is underway after crews located the body of a woman who vanished after going hiking.

A death investigation is underway after missing Scottsdale hiker Hannah Moody’s body was located around 12:05 p.m. on May 22 near the Gateway Trailhead of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

On Thursday, May 24, the Scottsdale Police Department confirmed in a press release that Hannah Moody’s body had been discovered at “around 12:05 p.m. on May 22 near the Gateway Trailhead of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale.”
