Multiple explosions were heard in two big cities of India-controlled Kashmir hours after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire deal following the U.S.-led talks to end the most serious military confrontation between the nuclear-armed rivals in decades.

A complete blackout was enforced in several areas of Jammu region in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ferozepur district in Punjab, while blasts were heard in Srinagar city on Saturday night, hours after an India-Pakistan ceasefire was announced.

Two huge blasts and sirens were heard in Jammu city in Indian Kashmir on Thursday and there was a blackout across the city, a Reuters witness said.
