The Bills kicked off their organized team activities on Tuesday, but the change in their offseason program hasn't led to a change of course for running back James Cook.

Running back James Cook was the lone absence, with 89 of the 90 players on the offseason roster present for the first OTA session. Attendance for the workouts is optional but Cook is seeking a new contract that would pay more than the $5.2 million he's set to earn in 2025, the final year of his rookie deal.

As Rapoport noted, Cook has until mandatory minicamp (which begins on June 10) to determine whether he's willing to actually hold out for a new contract. OTAs are optional, so he can't be fined for failing to show up.
