J.J. McCarthy has not yet been officially named the starter for the Vikings but excitement is already peaking with several outlets.

McCarthy and Kuropas have been together since high school and got engaged in January of 2024. The Vikings drafted McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft a few months after that, and he’s now set to take over as the Vikings’ starting quarterback after missing his entire rookie season with a meniscus tear.
