After years of speculation, Nintendo confirmed in November 2023 a live-action adaptation of its legendary video game series in partnership with Sony Pictures. The film is being produced by Zelda co-creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, with Wes Ball slated to direct.

Nintendo has revealed the two young actors who will play Link and Zelda in its live-action movie based on "The Legend of Zelda."

“I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of ‘The Legend of Zelda,’ Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san,” the post, presumably signed by Shigeru Miyamoto, reads. “I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.”
