The ex-nanny to Princes William and Harry has remained a close confidante to the royal family, even serving as godmother to Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie King Charles was reported to be "deeply saddened" after police said a British relative of his sons' former nanny was among the victims of the deadly truck-ramming attack in New Orleans.

Bourke's stepson, was identified as one of the victims of the recent truck attack that happened in New Orleans.

The British national killed in the New Orleans terror attack on New Year's Day has been confirmed as Edward Pettifer, stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry's former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke. The 31-year-old was one of the 14 people killed in the ordeal that US officials have called an "evil" act of terrorism.
