A female prison officer has been stood down while her alleged relationship with a prisoner is investigated. It is understood he is on remand for alleged domestic violence and stalking offences.

The anonymous plaintiff Rose Doe — a former female prisoner in Rikers’ Rose M. Singer women’s jail — says she was groped and raped by a male prisoner in 2022.
