Max Park, a 21-year-old from California, set a Guinness World Record by solving a Rubik’s Cube in just over three seconds.

The first official record holder for the fastest solving time of the cube was Minh Thai, who set the first record at 22.95 seconds in 1982.

An Eldersburg teen competed against about 800 Rubik’s Cube competitors and became the fastest solver in North America in one of the events.
