Eric Adams has united Democrats in New York City. From across the boroughs and otherwise warring ideological factions, there is widespread agreement that the mayor has little to no chance of winning the Democratic primary he’s running in for reelection this June — and that he shouldn’t even try.

A U.S. judge is set to consider on Wednesday a request by federal prosecutors to drop corruption charges against New York Mayor Eric Adams under orders from a Donald Trump political appointee - a case that critics say shows political interference in the Justice Department under the Republican president.

The DOJ is seeking to dismiss its criminal case against Adams, citing the need for his cooperation on Trump immigration enforcement policies.
