NEW YORK -- Andrei Svechnikov scored two goals and had an assist, Mikko Rantanen got his first point with the Carolina Hurricanes, and Frederik Andersen made 22 saves for his first shutout this season in a 4-0 win against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

Frederik Andersen made 22 saves, Andrei Svechnikov scored in the opening minute of the first period and the final minute of the second as the visiting Carolina Hurricanes pulled away for a 4-0 victory over the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.

The Stars will look to win their second straight game on home ice and continue their climb up the Central Division standings.
