A mix of snow and ice was beginning to fall across the Midwest and Northeast as tens of millions of people braced for a major winter storm.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory and predicts 2 to 4 inches of snow for the region. Travel difficulties are expected due to slick road conditions, especially during the Tuesday morning commute.
