MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WKOW) -- No. 12 Wisconsin defeated Minnesota 74-67 for its ninth straight win over the Gophers. John Blackwell led Wisconsin with 25 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. John Tonje added 18 points and seven rebounds.
Wisconsin quickly extended its lead to 40-29 to begin the second half, but once Mitchell checked back into the game, everything changed. The Gophers slowly chipped away at the lead and cut it all the way down to 46-41 heading into the under-12 media timeout.

NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (FOX 9) - A western Wisconsin man is accused of killing and trying to hide the body of his wife over the weekend. Gordon Laakso, 70, was booked into the St. Croix County Jail on Sunday on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, and strangulation and suffocation.
