Timing of Dolphins' schedule could keep Mike McDaniel's job safe for another week
It seems Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is safe for another week, despite leading the team to its most embarrassing loss of 2025 yet on Sunday. The 31-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns wasn't the last straw for owner Stephen Ross, although there are reports that could change soon.
The Miami Dolphins fell to 2-7 with a 28-6 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. It was an especially disappointing result since, just four days prior, it looked as if they may have gotten back on the right track with a dominant victory against the Atlanta Falcons .
A fter Mike McDaniel awarded game balls to the entire team following Sunday's demolition of the Falcons, a normally subdued, circumspect Dolphins rookie walked to the center of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium's visitor locker room and sprung into a loud and animated war dance and chant.
The two-time MVP wasn’t perfect in Thursday’s win over the Dolphins, but his return sets the stage for Baltimore to begin its climb back in the AFC North race.
