An 86-year-old man in a Chrysler minivan struck the three women when he put the vehicle in reverse, the NYPD says.

One of the trees fell inside Bensonhurst Park near Cropsey Avenue and Bay 29th Street, blocking a main pathway. By midday, park workers had the area taped off.
