North Ridgeville police are preparing for the procession carrying slain Lorain police officer Phillip Wagner to his funeral in downtown Cleveland the morning of Wednesday, July 30.

Lorain Acting Police Chief Michael Failing released new information on two of the three officers who were injured Wednesday afternoon after an ambush in Lorain.

Wagner died Thursday after being shot in an ambush attack. Two other officers were wounded, with one suffering serious injuries.

Law enforcement officers from across the state will patrol the streets of Lorain this week, allowing the city’s police department to attend the Wednesday funeral of Officer Phillip Wagner, who died in an ambush last week.
