After a frigid night of single-digit and sub-zero temperatures, snow is set to return across Colorado on Wednesday night, according to National Weather Service forecasters.

First Alert Meteorologist Alex Lehnert said the snow will continue along the Front Range in Colorado through early Tuesday afternoon.

As the snow ends in the metro, temperatures will stay below freezing and dip into the single digits overnight.

A winter weather advisory for metro Denver and several areas of northeastern Colorado is in effect until noon Tuesday.
