Liverpool are closing in on an agreement to sign Wirtz this summer having had an opening offer rejected for the Bayer Leverkusen star, who is widely considered to be one of the best young talents in European football.

Liverpool's second bid totalling €130m for Florian Wirtz has been rejected, with Bayer Leverkusen now informing the Reds what must be done to seal a deal.
