When Capcom first revealed Resident Evil Requiem in Summer Game Fest 2025 earlier this month, Grace Ashcroft–who might just be the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak’s Alyssa Ashcroft–was front and center. She is an FBI agent tasked with investigating a series of mysterious deaths, which ties into the incident at Raccoon City.

But whether that actually disqualifies Leon from appearing in Resident Evil Requiem remains to be seen. Capcom hasn’t quite ruled out the former Raccoon City police department rookie from showing up in the game, or even being playable.

Leon S. Kennedy was close to becoming the main character for RE9, but the reason why Grace took his spot makes perfect sense.
