Shohei Ohtani hit his ninth leadoff home run of the season but the Los Angeles Dodgers saw their losing streak extended to a season-worst five games as they fell 3-1 to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Ohtani stepped back into the batter’s box as leadoff man and designated hitter against the Royals on Sunday, less than 24 hours after taking four at-bats at the top of the order and pitching two innings as the Dodgers’ opener in the oppressive K.C. summer heat.

The Dodgers brought a four-game losing streak into Tuesday night's game against the Brewers, but it didn't take them long to grab an early lead. Shohei Ohtani led off the game with a home run and he got his money's worth.
