Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has condemned the vandalism of bronze statues of former prime ministers Paul Keating and Kevin Rudd at Lake Wendouree in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
Police said the “senseless act”, which appeared to be politically motivated, was carried out by about four people.
Police are on the hunt for four vandals who decapitated two statues of Australian prime ministers and damaged another 18 figures.
