Car enthusiasts and automakers attend the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 event at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan, on Friday. The annual car culture event runs through Sunday.

The three-day event gives you a window into a far, far cooler Yaris than you ever saw in the United States, among other cars well worth seeing.

We went to the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon to see the best manufacturers' cars on display, from a modified Honda Prelude to a cyberpunk Toyota RAV4.

It would have been unthinkable not long ago, but Kia almost toppled Ford in the 2024 new car sales chart.
