Missouri lawmakers look to criminalize abortion as murder
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Two Missouri lawmakers have pre-filed bills that aim to classify abortion as a murder offense. Missouri State Sen. Mike Moon, R-Ash Grove, and State Rep. Burt Whaley, R-Clever, have each introduced legislation, and Whaley calling his the “Missouri Prenatal Equal Protection Act.”
Dr. Hassan Abbas, 32, was indicted on six felony charges, including abduction and unlawful distribution of an abortion-inducing drug.
