The Calgary Flames came off the break flat-footed and struggling to generate 5v5 offence against the San Jose Sharks – despite the struggles the Flames prevailed 3-2 in regulation.

The Calgary Flames (27-21-8) returned to action on Sunday night, hosting the San Jose Sharks for their final home game before the NHL Trade Deadline. Although it wasn't pretty, the Flames rallied for a 3-2 victory thanks to some unlikely heroes.

Nazem Kadri and Kevin Rooney, with his first goal in 24 games, also scored for Calgary (27-21-8). The Flames snapped a three-game winless skid and moved to within one point of the Vancouver Canucks for the second wild-card playoff berth in the Western Conference. The Canucks lost 2-1 to the host Utah Hockey Club on Sunday.

Joel Hanley scored his first goal of the season at 13:26 of the third period to lead the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night. Nazem Kadri and Kevin Rooney also had goals for the Flames,
