After winning the program’s 12th National Championship this past April, the UConn women’s basketball team is back, locked and loaded for the 2025-26 season.

Juniors KK Arnold and Ashlynn Shade can shape the UConn women’s basketball team’s success as they take on more responsibility this season.

Williams is the fourth UConn player recognized by the Hall of Fame and WBCA joining Azzi Fudd (Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as top shooting guard), Caroline Ducharme (Cheryl Miller Award as top small forward), and Sarah Strong (Katrina McClain Award as top power forward).

The UConn women’s basketball team wrapped up their exhibition schedule with a commanding 105-39 victory over Southern Connecticut State, with every player who saw action contributing to the scoring.

Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd highlight the roster that features five newcomers, including two transfers. Each Husky will step into a new role during the 2025-26 season to not only help the program attempt to repeat as national champs, but also make up for the loss of superstar Paige Bueckers.
